US Hospital Agrees to Perform Life Saving Organ Transplant for Canadian Woman, Denied Due to Vaccine Status in Canada

You may recall a recent post we released about a woman who has been repeatedly denied a lifesaving transplant because she does not feel that the Covid-19 vaccine is safe, and worries it may impact her already-precarious health to the extent that she will not be fit for her much-needed transplant.

She fought all the way to the Supreme Court, who have refused to even hear her case. Canada has turned their backs on her and intends to leave her to die.

All hope is lost for Sheila Annette Lewis…or is it?

We are very pleased to share this update:

A US hospital has reached out and agreed to provide her the treatment and transplant she needs to live. We couldn’t be happier for her however, as with all medical procedures in the US system, it comes with a significant cost.

She will need to pay $100,000 for the initial testing, prior to being placed on their transplant list, and a further $500,000 for the surgery itself.

A GiveSendGo account has been developed for her fundraising. It has already grown to just over $30,000 so far, but still far from what is needed to save her life.

We ask you for your help, with anything you can offer. Even the cost of cup of coffee, it all adds up.

Click here to donate and show your support. Everyone deserves a chance at life.

And a final note to offer a heart-felt thank you to our American neighbours for stepping up when her own country has abandoned her.
