Trucker Harold Jonker Charged After Participation in Freedom Convoy

Harold Jonker, a man who put everything on the line to stand for the rights and freedoms of Canadians, is being targeted again 15 months later.

Mr. Jonker and his company, Jonker Trucking, took their place in the Freedom Convoy 15 months ago. He and his fleet remained peaceful, supportive, and followed directions given by police. He put himself in the front lines with thousands of others, to show that Canadians deserve respect and the right to make their own choices. They shared truth, not anger.

Despite all he did, last summer he was criticized by fellow councillors and reprimanded for his participation. He paid for it in money from his own pocket and in the form of a suspension of his position on council. All, despite the fact that he believed he was doing his job in standing up for the citizens he represents against the overreaching mandates.

Now, well over a year after the convoy, he is being targeted once again, this time by the Ottawa Police. They have charged him with four crimes: two counts of counseling an “uncommitted indictable offence”, one count of mischief for obstructing property and one count of intimidation by blocking or obstructing a highway.

It’s clear that this is an effort to make an example of him, as was done to Tamara Lich and Pastor Pawlowski, among others. These people have done nothing wrong, save standing for what they know to be true and just, and speaking against the narrative being sold by our governments.

Mr. Jonker presented himself to the nearest police station as soon as he became aware. He is now in the hands of Ottawa police, and we look forward to a sensible end to this unnecessary bullying and drama.

The Charter of Rights and Freedoms was written for this very moment in time. Never before have we, as Canadians, needed to stand up for the preservation of everything our ancestors have fought for, and everything our children hope for.

Police on Guard stands with our Charter and all that it represents, and with the good people who dare to stand with us.

As long as each group, no matter the size, takes the attitude that they, and only they have the right answers to the bullying tactics being used, nothing will change and in fact the situation will only continue to get worse.
A unified coalition of all forces across this country and then across the borders will be the only way “they” can be stopped.
