Police On Guard members had the honour and privilege of attending a Charter protected right to peaceful assembly in downtown Waterloo today. This event was organized by Kamil Bachouchi, a Wilfred Laurier University student, who is opposing the ongoing masking mandates within the school.

As mentioned in our previous update post in December 2022, the Defendants’ (Government) made a motion to strike, and the Plaintiffs (Federal Employees’) responded.
The courts have agreed to hear the motion to strike in person on January 19th, 2023, at 9:30 am for a period of 3 hours.

The Defendants’ (Government) have made a motion to strike, and the Plaintiffs (Federal Employees’) responding motion record has been filed.
The Court now has to decide whether to dispose of the motion in writing, or after oral arguments in open Court.

Police on Guard had the privilege of interviewing Kamil Bachouchi, a student at Wilford Laurier university, regarding the school’s mask mandates re-implemented for this school year. Kamil decided to take peaceful action by exercising his point in a democratic way.
