Front line members of every Police Service in Canada have long been aware of the need for bail reform. In this case where the offender has a long and related record, however, was still granted bail, shows just how much the system is broken.
As mentioned in our previous update post in December 2022, the Defendants’ (Government) made a motion to strike, and the Plaintiffs (Federal Employees’) responded.
The courts have agreed to hear the motion to strike in person on January 19th, 2023, at 9:30 am for a period of 3 hours.
