More Federal Employees Launch Another Legal Challenge

Once again, we see Canadian people turning to the courts to defend their Charter rights regarding personal choice to the Covid-19 vaccine mandates by their employer. Hundreds of employees from several government departments have launched a legal challenge against the Federal Government. And again, we see the employer being the Federal Government forcing employees to choose between their privacy or their jobs.

Setting the Charter aside for just a moment the Patient Rights in Quebec with Provincial Legislation clearly states patients are “entitled” to participate in decisions affecting one’s care. Not to mention to “receive health care that is scientifically appropriate.” One could argue both sides of the Quebec legislation; however, added with the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms which supersedes Provincial Legislation, we again see overreach by the Federal Government.

When people are making choices under duress, it is no longer of free will and crosses many legal lines. With more and more medical evidence coming out regarding the vaccines and vaccine injury it truly comes down to personal choice.

This court challenge, as so many others in Canada are based on individual freedoms and choices as guaranteed by our Charter. When it comes to personal choice and privacy, there should be no question that the individual must have the freedom to choose medical treatment and that privacy must be respected.

Police on Guard reached out to the lawyer William Desrochers, representing Fonctionnaires unis or United Servants and was advised that the case is approximately halfway and will resume sometime in April.

Canadians should be asking themselves why so many legal challenges are being launched against employers. The common denominator in every case is Government overreach regarding our Charter and personal privacy. It makes one wonder just how far the Federal Government is willing to go in violating Canadian rights.

Police on Guard supports the actions of Fonctionnaires unis and will continue to defend the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
