National Citizens Inquiry Commissioner States Covid Response Revealed Holes in the Charter

The National Citizens Inquiry (NCI) has provided a platform for honest discussion and evidence gathering for many aspects of the events of the last few years, specifically of the actions taken by our governments under the auspices of a national emergency.

NCI commissioner Ken Drysdale discusses the flaws in our Charter of Rights and Freedoms that have allowed the Trudeau government to “override all of our rights at a whim”, showing how our government was able to take advantage of the loopholes in our Charter to enforce restrictions simply by adding the label of emergency.

Drysdale points to how Canadians have ‘become accustomed to a government which infringes on their rights and freedoms’ stating “it wasn’t that much of a leap for Canadians to start wearing these masks”. He argued that the Charter “was a failure as a document. The first time Canadians needed it and needed to lean upon it, it completely collapsed.”

This is how it has always been done; manufacture whatever event is needed to provide a legitimate excuse to exploit the loopholes and circumvent our laws and protections.

All of these years we’ve lived comfortably, believing our Charter would protect us when needed. History has shown that governments will always fight for more and more control of their citizens but our judicial system is intended to be the nonpartisan voice that holds our government in check, respecting our laws and giving context to their application.

Unfortunately, this system of checks and balances has failed because our judiciary has been corrupted into applying partisan bias to the rulings, refusing to hold the government accountable for their decisions.

Drysdale’s comments echo the NCI’s final report released in November which called for a full review of all COVID-related court cases to restore the public’s faith in Canada’s judiciary system.

The final report is 5,324 pages long and includes dozens of recommendations for lawmakers, public institutions, and the general public to implement.

The only reason why the Charter of Rights and Freedoms failed is because the people who were in charge of upholding it, in particular the courts and even Supreme Court, refused to protect it and instead worked to undermine it.

    Why undermine it?

Simple, the answer is immorality, self-interest, greed.

They allowed leftist-woke-liberal ideology take the place of the rule of law, and their immoral base carried it through.
