NYC Police Reinstated After Judge Rules Vaccine Mandates Invalid

Recent developments out of the state of New York reveal that New York City police officers shall be reinstated after unvaccinated officers were not allowed to perform their duties due to Covid Vaccine mandates.

The New York City Police Departments “Police Benevolent Association”, the union representing NYPD Officers said the following:

“The city has provided no explanation, much less a rational one, for the need to violate autonomy and privacy of NYPD officers in such a severe manner, on the threat of termination,”.

“The judge in the case has ruled that the vaccine mandate is INVALID as applied to PBA members, and has ordered that all members who were terminated and/or put on leave without pay as a result of non-compliance be reinstated,”

Given the unconstitutional nature of the mandates in the first place, pertaining to Canadians, this begs the question of when the same results will happen here in Canada. We have seen travel mandates being “suspended”, as well as other measures lifted here in Canada, and are of the belief that all employees should also be reinstated forthwith.

Police On Guard was instrumental in organizing a Federal Lawsuit representing federal employees (including federally regulated employees) based on similar grounds.

We will continue to speak up and address these unconstitutional mandates, until our Charter of Rights and Freedoms are restored.
