Military to end Vaccine Mandates

IS THIS ANOTHER WIN FOR FREEDOM OF CHOICE?

Really it isn’t. When one reads the requirements and looks at this with open eyes it simply becomes a way to change the true focus. The military personnel who exercised their Charter of Rights and Freedoms to choose a medical procedure they disagreed with are still at the whim of the Chief of Defence. The personnel removed under Section 5(f) which means they are no longer fit for service must reapply to the military. Are they suddenly going to be deemed fit? And what about the new applicants that do not need to be vaccinated? Suddenly there becomes a double standard.

Many personnel are still having their exemption requests reviewed and will have to abide by the decisions. With over 1000 exemptions refused one can see where the military is going. Catherine Christiansen, a military law specialist lawyer calls this whole fiasco by the military as “smoke and mirrors” and with good reason. It appears any changes by the Federal government is nothing more the “smoke and mirrors” with no true respect for our Charter rights.

These men and women who serve in our Canadian Military deserve much more from our government and our citizens. Men and women willing to pay the ultimate sacrifice to defend our country and our freedoms. These are the men and women who truly understand our Constitution and the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Police on Guard is proud and honoured to have their support as we continue to defend individual choice as provided by our Charter.
