Government Denies Access to Information Request Surrounding Covid Data by Media Publication, The Canadian Independent

The Canadian Independent has submitted an access to information request to the Public Health Agency of Canada for raw data reported by provinces and territories regarding age, vaccine status, hospitalizations, and deaths related to Covid-19; no personal information was requested.

Their stated purpose was to independently verify the accuracy of the agency’s website which consistently reported (using tables and graphs) that the unvaccinated were more likely to contribute to cases, hospitalizations, and deaths.

In their own words, “The Canadian Independent was essentially asking the Public Health Agency of Canada to substantiate the data reported on their website by providing the raw data from provinces and territories. The record holders for the Public Health Agency of Canada have continuously delayed this request, filed over a year ago. They repeatedly sought clarification, requested more time, or claimed they needed to conduct numerous consultations to provide the records.”

What finally arrived was a DVD with all the raw data redacted. The Canadian Independent will be appealing these results.

Their response amounts to ‘trust us, you don’t need to see proof’, a page from the same playbook as so many other government agencies. If the data was good enough to compile the graphs and charts for public consumption, why the secrecy? What is being kept from us?

The only logical assumption is that the data is junk or incomplete, and they already know that the reports issued by Health Canada are not accurate at all and cannot be replicated; a safe assumption, given that external evidence has been showing the same.

We must continue pushing for accountability in every way. Canadians have been tolerating the secrecy and heavy-handed control of our government for too long. This is our highest level of government, and their actions must be judged accordingly.

If evidence is being willfully suppressed, then there is a potential for a crime being covered up. Transparency needs to be forthcoming and, if there is proof of criminal activity, the individuals responsible must be held to account.

We stand with all who fight for truth.
