Freedom Convoy Donations

During the enactment of the Emergency Act many Canadians had accounts frozen as a result of donating to a registered not for profit. What we have seen is a retroactive punishment by the federal government against citizens that are supporting a movement that was standing for guaranteed Charter rights.

The names of donors were published which has resulted in unheard of consequences: loss of employment, public scrutiny, and increased divisiveness.

Proud Canadians have been labelled misogynists, racists, and terrorists by government and public officials. This type of rhetoric has no place in a free and democratic society.

Donors have included police officers, who are now under investigation by their respective services. Even prominent professional hockey player Paul Stastny has faced criticism for his support.
