Recently, the Commissioner of the OPP, Thomas Carrique stood before the House of Commons Public Safety Committee and advised the Committee that they were aware the Freedom Convoy was a threat to national security some 7 days prior to the Federal Government’s invoking of the Emergency Act.
We, at Police on Guard, support this right and all others as laid out by the Charter and believe it is long overdue for transparency from our government concerning their actions in response to the Convoy.
James Topp, a veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces and member of Police on Guard, is on the march from BC to Ottawa, to ensure the government upholds the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
In February 2022, the University of Toronto faculty filed a Human Rights complaint with legal counsel. This action has already seen the university’s administration rescind much of the covid related mandates including vaccinations, masking, and health screening.
Police on Guard is proud to count James Topp as one of our members.
James is a current serving soldier of the Canadian Armed Forces of 28 years. At the present time, James is marching across Canada, from Vancouver to Ottawa, ensuring our government upholds the laws that support Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
We were honoured to present James with a $2500 cheque to assist him and the Canada Marches Team with their mission. James is the epitome of who Police on Guard is and what our Mission Statement entails.
