Canada stands with the Chinese People Expressing Themselves Against Covid Measures - Trudeau

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has at last made a statement regarding the protests by the Chinese people against the Covid-19 lockdowns in China. Surprisingly he is supporting the Chinese people and not the government. In his statement Trudeau stated, “Canadians are watching very closely. Obviously, everyone in China should be allowed to express themselves (and) should be allowed to share their perspectives, and indeed protest. We’re going to continue to ensure China knows that we’ll stand up for human rights, we’ll stand with the people who are expressing themselves”

The protests in China have been anything but peaceful. The actions by the Chinese government have been to say the least extreme locking people in buildings for months on end.
The protests in China were sparked by an apartment fire where authorities had chained the doors on the building which prevented emergency crews from entering the building leading to 10 known deaths.
These actions by the Chinese government have led to violent protests by the Chinese people.

In contrast the protests in Canada for actions taken by the Canadian government were extremely peaceful yet our government did everything in their power to condemn the very actions they support in China.
Canadian people have just witnessed the mistruths told by government leaders in the inquiry regarding the invoking of the Emergencies Act by Trudeau during the Ottawa protest.
The labeling of protestors as terrorists in order to seize bank accounts. The list is long with Canadian government abuses, yet Trudeau supports protests in China stating Ottawa will continue to stand up for human rights and free expression. Just not in Canada though.

Hypocrisy at its finest, to say the least!
