These past 10 months have brought immense challenges on a global scale. Everything from job losses to the deaths of loved ones have left so many searching for answers, answers that can’t always be found in conventional sources.
 
Many faith-based individuals rely on attending church to find answers and to support their mental and physical health, especially now.
Several churches across the country have opened and allowed for in-person prayer in spite of the Public Health Orders. This has resulted in fines and for some, impending court dates.
In response, many churches have launched (or are in the process of launching) Charter challenges regarding current Public Health Orders.
 
In a recent article posted by CBC, Peter Youngren, the founding pastor of the Toronto International Celebration Church states: “At a time when many are suffering with isolation, depression, and a sense of despair, the most loving thing a local church can do is throw its doors wide open while maintaining public health standards”.
