Kingston Teachers Union Warns, "Right Wing Political" Views Like "Parental Rights" Can Result In Discipline

In yet another astonishing display of ‘wokism’, the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation local for the Limestone District School Board has issued a directive to its members warning them of disciplinary actions resulting from what they describe as an expression of ‘right wing political views’.

Amongst the many examples provided were the unacceptable concepts of ‘parental rights’, any reference to ‘boys and girls’, speaking against ‘transwomen’ in women’s sports, reporting student behaviour to parents (such as drug use), any use of the word ‘aboriginal’, or even asking students to put their phones away; all are examples of supposed human rights infringements. For the full list see the attached article from True North.

We struggle to understand how a biology teacher can accurately impart valuable scientific concepts about nature when forbidden to discuss the very existence of ‘male and female’ genitalia.

Are long-accepted greetings of ‘ladies and gentlemen’ truly gone from our ‘approved’ speech? No. In the professional world these students will (thankfully) find little, if any, buy-in for these absurdities. While our schools try to pretend that the world is fully supportive of their ridiculous and unfounded ideals, the truth is that the professional world sees them for what they are. So, how does any of this better prepare our children for the ‘real world’? Simple…it doesn’t.

The notion that the school board thinks it can decide what a parent should be allowed to know about their child’s behaviour is nothing short of egregious. Many of these ‘teachers’ are barely adults themselves and have never experienced parenthood; for them to believe that they know better, as to what is best for the child, is absurd.

We wholeheartedly oppose this blatant attempt to shift parenting responsibilities. The family unit is the core of influence that prepares our children for adult life.

It’s time for an overhaul, and a return to the holistic approach to education. The best solutions are those that take away their influence entirely. For information on home schooling and unschooling, visit Mamabearsproject.com
