Court Rules Josh Alexander Can Appeal His School Suspension for Expressing Christian Beliefs

In yet another baffling perversion of freedom of expression, religion and human rights in Canada, a Catholic School Board has staunchly opposed a Catholic student’s right to express his religious beliefs; the very same beliefs that, until recently, the school board itself upheld.

Most Canadians are familiar with the case of Josh Alexander, a 17 year old student of the St. Joseph’s Catholic High School and Renfrew County Catholic District School Board.

Josh’s story began when he stood up for fellow students traumatized after encountering anatomical males in their previously all-female washroom. He organized a protest promoting the long-standing Catholic belief that God created only two sexes. For expressing his religious beliefs, Josh was expelled. Then he tried to attend classes and was arrested for trespassing.

Appeal after appeal to the school fell on deaf ears, ending with the school insisting he had no right to be heard without parental support. That finally changed when the courts acknowledged his right to speak for himself, alongside his legal team. He still has the support of his family, but his parents chose not to pursue further appeals. Josh, on the other hand, is not the sort to give up easily!

Since these events, Josh has joined ranks with like-minded Christian youth to form Save Canada in an effort to bring awareness to these issues and to stand firm for their religious beliefs.

Not so long ago we all understood the various paths and beliefs practiced within each denomination. They were clearly defined.

Today, the woke agenda has bastardized our traditional beliefs in favour of a very small portion of our citizenry that find it ‘offensive’, claiming inclusivity for all, while forcing the most exclusive of policies on the rest of us.

We struggle to understand how a centuries-old belief system can switch gears with such abrupt ease, while still demanding the devotion and respect they have enjoyed for so long. They continue to disavow their most ardent followers for the very beliefs the church instilled in them.

We can’t sit by and let our freedoms be eroded.
