Student Against Mandates

Police On Guard members had the honour and privilege of attending a Charter protected right to peaceful assembly in downtown Waterloo today. This event was organized by Kamil Bachouchi, a Wilfred Laurier University student, who is opposing the ongoing masking mandates within the school.

Kamil started an organization called Student Against Mandates (http://studentsagainstmandates.ca) as well as organizing Saturday’s rally. In attendance were university professors and doctors, of which, two presented recent peer reviewed research and data showing that masks do not stop the transmission of viruses.

Kamil has been vocal in his stance, and in doing so has sparked debate, while bringing people together through humor.

We presented Kamil one of our challenge coins, as a thank you for standing for his charter rights and freedoms.

Kamil is a great example that one person can make a difference, while remaining peaceful. Well done Kamil!!
