I served with the Toronto Police Service for a little over 30 years. I retired as a Sergeant. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, I have observed many instances of Canadian’s Charter Rights and Freedoms being trampled on. The latest incident, and the one that broke the proverbial camel’s back for me, was very recently a high ranking officer attended parade and proceeded to instruct the officers that they should have zero tolerance for COVID-19 related offences and if need be shall kick in the door of a residence or business to obtain those tickets. This behaviour must stop.
I was relieved when a fellow retired officer recommended this group. Thank you for accepting me into the group.
