Charges Stayed for Woman Arrested for Mischief During Freedom Convoy
Harold Jonker, owner of Jonker Trucking and former councillor for the township of West Lincoln Ontario, has been acquitted of all charges related to his participation in the 2022 Freedom Convoy in Ottawa.
The RCMP’s response to the 2022 Freedom Convoy was detailed in their recently released National After-Action Review. This report revealed many issues faced by members, from operational strains and overbearing political pressures to a complete misrepresentation of their reporting to government officials, manipulating reported facts for political gain.
It has been just under five years since the start of the pandemic. Five years since our government stripped Canadians of previously-guaranteed Charter rights – putting conditions on our right to enter, leave and move freely within our own country.
