Pastor Michael Thiessen, alongside his legal team with the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF), are celebrating a recent victory after charges against Pastor Thiessen, for violating the Opening Ontario Act, were dismissed.
Recently a series of charges and fines, issued because of participation in the Freedom Convoy in February 2022 or in acting contrary to legislation related to COVID-19, have been dismissed by the courts.

Police are being asked to balance the Reopening Ontario Act, the Human Rights Code, and the Charter of Rights and Freedoms that we have sworn to uphold, this includes Section 7 of the Charter – Life, liberty and security of the person. Section 7 states:
“Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of the person and the right not to be deprived thereof except in accordance with the principles of fundamental justice”.
