It has been just under five years since the start of the pandemic. Five years since our government stripped Canadians of previously-guaranteed Charter rights – putting conditions on our right to enter, leave and move freely within our own country.

The Canadian Constitution Foundation (CCF) is preparing to return to court once again to address the unjustified use of the Emergencies Act against Canadians.
These past 10 months have brought immense challenges on a global scale. Everything from job losses to the deaths of loved ones have left so many searching for answers, answers that can’t always be found in conventional sources. Many faith-based individuals rely on attending church to find answers and to support their mental and physical health, especially now.
We have been receiving many questions regarding the oath that police officers take. Inside the front cover of every officer’s memo book is a reminder of our oath. While the exact text may differ between jurisdictions and services, above all we have pledged to uphold the Constitution of Canada and that includes our Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
For those officers who are silent while we are ordered to enact questionable policies, mandates, and by-laws, we hope you will #RememberYourOath and join us by adding your support.
