A $170 million class action lawsuit, led by nurse Lisa Wolfs and the United Health Care Workers of Ontario (UHCWO), targets the Ontario government and Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Kieran Moore, in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

The Canadian Constitution Foundation filed a Notice of Application for Judicial Review regarding Calgary’s Bylaw Prohibiting certain protests.
In a significant victory for free speech, the Ontario Court of Appeal has ruled in favour of a former teacher, Carolyn Burjoski, allowing her to move forward with a defamation lawsuit against the Waterloo Regional District School Board and their former chair, Mr. Scott Piatkowski. Her defamation case surrounds the WRDSB and former chair labelling her “transphobic over her concerns about the age-appropriateness of certain library books discussing gender transition and sexual identity.
