In the winter of 2022, while the Freedom Convoy demonstrations were happening in Ottawa, truckers also blocked the border crossing between Coutts, Alberta and Sweetgrass, Montana.
14 truckers were charged with parking violations which have been recently withdrawn in court, after it was found that they had been charged using a law not applicable to their alleged conduct.

On February 13th, 2022, in Coutts Alberta, RCMP had been working to restore movement on roads blocked by tractors belonging to those protesting vaccine mandates and restrictions.
On this particular day, the RCMP decided it was necessary to break the law by vandalizing excavators to accomplish their task.

A recent case brought forward by the patients of Dr Sonja Kustka, a physician under investigation by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) for writing two mask exemptions, has ended in a ruling against them.
