Federal Government Suspends COVID-19 Vaccine Requirements for Travel and Employees

Since October of 2021 the federal government implemented a mandatory vaccination policy for domestic and international travel as well as federal & federally regulated employees

After many months of criticism from the opposition, as well as reports of building pressure from within the Liberal party, the mandates for travel as well as for employees has been suspended.

Police on Guard has continually advocated for Canadians Charter rights. These rights are constitutionally protected and allow Canadians to travel interprovincially and internationally without infringement. These rights also allow for personal medical choices to be protected.

We’re hopeful that these mandates won’t be reinstated with the emergence of new variants. But that remains to be seen.
We are optimistic that your elected officials have heard your voice and will no longer infringe on your guaranteed Charter rights.

We encourage citizens to continue to exercise their democratic rights by contacting their elected representatives and making their voices heard.
