CPSO Withdraws Disciplinary Proceedings Against Dr. Kulvinder Kaur Gill

Dr. Kulvinder Kaur Gill, a specialist in pediatrics and clinical immunology, with research in microbiology, virology, and vaccinology, has been under attack since the summer of 2020 for comments made on social media.
Dr. Gill began speaking out against the government’s covid response early, providing robust evidence for every concern. Her posts prompted an online campaign by other doctors to discredit her and generate complaints to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). She was subjected to 7 non-patient complaints and a registrar’s investigation resulting in “cautions” against her by the Inquiries, Complaints & Reports Committee (ICRC) in 2021. The ICRC stated that her opinions did not align with public health orders, despite abundant evidence of the catastrophic harms of lockdowns, and instead leaned on China and South Korea’s efforts as proof of the ‘success of lockdowns in reducing the spread of covid’, while calling her comments ‘misinformed, misleading and irresponsible.’
Not only were lockdowns contrary to all prior pandemic plans and principles of public health, the WHO also tried to sound the alarm against them. Meanwhile, the Chinese approach has since been discredited by virtually every available metric of success.
The ICRC position was upheld by the Health Professions Appeal & Review Board (HPARB) prompting a judicial review in Divisional Court and followed by yet another registrar’s investigation.
The CPSO describes her words as disgraceful, dishonourable, and unprofessional, accusing her of making “misleading, false or inflammatory statements about vaccinations, treatments and public health measures”.
Prepared with scientific evidence and testimony from world-renowned experts, Dr. Gill and her legal team were ready to prove their position when the CPSO withdrew their hearing request, meaning it has dropped its case and disciplinary hearing against her. The remaining judicial review of her cautions will continue.
We stand alongside Dr. Gill, looking forward to the Divisional Court considering whether the ICRC and HPARB acted reasonably in upholding the censorship of ethical physicians.

Freedom may seem cheap today, but was it not hard fought and with a high cost? Dr. Kulvinder Kaur Gill discovered that truth, if she did not know it before she took that courageous stand. This judicial process was her cost, the fight against a government that thought it could be the ‘super-doctor’. The shame is now on the police, the prosecutors and the system that put her through all that trouble without an official judgment. And that is here the crime, the abuse meted out by a government that no longer values your and my liberty.
