Upon appealing this charge, it was determined that the appellant’s conviction for Obstructing a peace officer could not stand. This case is known as R vs. Sharma.

As of February 22, under the new Emergency Orders made by the Federal Government travellers are now required to quarantine for a period of time in hotels or other government approved facilities.
