A recent decision from a Calgary judge once again supports the covid mandates and restrictions implemented by our government, as well as the resulting mimicry and enforcement by employers, as a justified infringement of our charter rights.
Constance Van Hee filed a lawsuit against her employer, Glenmore Inn Holdings Ltd., for removing her from her position and placing her on unpaid leave for noncompliance of their employee vaccine mandate.

After a lengthy investigation by the CPSO, Dr. Mark Trozzi stood before a tribunal to defend his expertise, his professional conduct, and his right to express his personal and professional views.
The CPSO found that Dr. Trozzi, engaged in professional misconduct over Covid criticism. He is looking to appeal.

Evan Blackman participated in the Ottawa Freedom Convoy in February of 2022. As a result, he was arrested and charged with mischief and obstructing police.
Blackman plead not guilty to all charges and was scheduled for trial October 23, 2023. Due to the lack of evidence supporting the charges, and poor recollections of the officer, all charges were dismissed.

A Charter case brought forward last year by the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms, on behalf of a group of eight Ontario residents, was struck down as moot indicating that, since the mandates have ended, there is no longer any value to Canadians in pursuing an outcome.
