Has the trust established through decades of community Policing been eroded?
We cannot allow arbitrary legislations to erode the pillars that we have worked so hard to build. Each officer that joins our team brings us one step closer to re-establishing the integrity of our police force.

Does it Pass the Oakes Test?
Does it pass the Oakes test?
In section 1 of the Charter rests the limitation clause. This legally allows the government to limit a person’s charter rights, however it must be proven that this limitation is justified. This is done using the Oakes Test, which determines if the purpose of the restriction is demonstrably justifiable in a free and democratic society.
We implore all active duty officers who are enforcing current Public Health orders to do extensive research on the current “State of Emergency” and ask themselves, does the legislation I’m enforcing pass the Oakes test?
If you come to the conclusion that it does not, reach out and join our cause.

Charter of Rights – Guaranteed Freedom of Religion
These past 10 months have brought immense challenges on a global scale. Everything from job losses to the deaths of loved ones have left so many searching for answers, answers that can’t always be found in conventional sources. Many faith-based individuals rely on attending church to find answers and to support their mental and physical health, especially now.
Question from the Public – Should Members of the Public Try to Enforce Public Health Orders on Others?
We would like to thank everyone for the messages of support. Although we aren’t able to respond to each message individually, we are doing our best to create content that addresses some of the questions and concerns that are shared with us.
We recently received an inbox message from Dave and with his permission, would like to share his message and our response to the points he brought out.

We have been receiving many questions regarding the oath that police officers take. Inside the front cover of every officer’s memo book is a reminder of our oath. While the exact text may differ between jurisdictions and services, above all we have pledged to uphold the Constitution of Canada and that includes our Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
For those officers who are silent while we are ordered to enact questionable policies, mandates, and by-laws, we hope you will #RememberYourOath and join us by adding your support.
