Since the formation of our group, and our initial request for clarification regarding the constitutionality of the public health measures, there have been a number of unfortunate incidents that could have been prevented.
In Gatineau, Windsor, Cobourg, and Minden, we have seen police officers and members of the public being put in difficult positions that have not ended well.

Thank you Maxime Ouimet for joining in support of Police on Guard for Thee.
I completed 11 years in the Laval Police Service in Québec. In 2020, during this crisis, I started noticing that the reality on the ground did not match what I was seeing on TV. I did not agree with the disrespect of our Charter of Rights and Freedoms. I had to resign so as not to be complicit in violating my oath and in order to protect the people of Québec. Since October 2020, I have rallied with the people and am fighting alongside to preserve my oath and their freedoms.

As active and retired members of various police services across this great country, we recognize our sworn oath to uphold the Constitution of Canada, including the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and we intend on upholding that oath in everything that we do.
We have a responsibility to the people of this country who are depending on us to stand up for those guaranteed rights and freedoms and that responsibility is not taken lightly. We will not back down, that we can promise you.
We will today, and the days to come, continue to Stand on Guard for Thee.
