In a sudden turn of events, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) have abruptly dropped all charges against Dr. Charles Hoffe.
A situation arose recently involving the Durham District School Board (DDSB), when parents and community members spoke out against planned changes in how school board meetings would be conducted, with respect to public input.
There has been some significant progress in the Federal Employee Lawsuit. While we’re disappointed that the Supreme Court won’t hear a portion of the Plaintiffs on the lawsuit, we’re looking forward to the remainder of the Plaintiffs having their day in Federal Court.
This case was brought forward by the Pacific Justice Institute on behalf of six former rail workers who had been denied religious accommodations when Covid-19 mandates were implemented by their employer, the Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART).
The repercussions in this case amounted to their lost wages plus a $1 million dollar award for hardship, for each employee. The total award against the employer, for all plaintiffs combined, was $7.8 million dollars.
