Edmonton Police Officer Who Supported the Freedom Convoy & Spoke Out Against the Mandates, Back On Duty

Another officer who had the strength to stand against what she knew was wrong has finally been allowed to return to work, more than a year after being placed on unpaid administrative leave.

Constable Elena Golysheva of the Edmonton Police Service (EPS) recognized the mandate for compulsory vaccination for what it was: unjust and illegal. This command stood in direct opposition to her personal rights and beliefs; rights we all believed to be absolute under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

She soon spoke out, posting a video about pandemic restrictions, stating “the very freedom that I moved to Canada for has been taken away, and Canadians who live here, were born here, are not recognizing that.”

Soon after she attended and spoke in Milk River Alberta alongside a fellow EPS member. During her speech she openly expressed her gratitude for rally attendees, saying she was there because they gave her hope.

Both officers were immediately placed on leave without pay by EPS, pending disciplinary hearings. Her counterpart opted for voluntary retirement over complying with harmful mandates.

Constable Golysheva remained relieved of duty without pay for almost a year. She then remained on leave but had her pay reinstated, finally facing her disciplinary hearing earlier this summer.

Under the incessant badgering, coercion and intimidation by EPS leadership, Const. Golysheva relented, agreeing to undergo ‘reintegration training’ before being placed back into her full operational position. I am pleased to say that she has now returned to service.

When police chief, Dale McFee, was asked for comment regarding his officers participating in the rally he said, “that’s not something we support or condone”, “that’s just not something that’s allowed.”

Now that she has been permitted to return to service, we know Const. Golysheva is one of the few officers we can trust to uphold the laws in the way they were intended. We can be confident in knowing she stands with Canadians.

How many more are willing to show their commitment to their oath and their fellow citizens? Speak up please, we can’t hear you.

I think what Constable Golysheva did is very commendable.
However, I don’t understand how you can say “Const. Golysheva is one of the few officers we can trust to uphold the laws in the way they were intended. We can be confident in knowing she stands with Canadians.”, when she has only been permitted to return to service because of the “incessant badgering, coercion and intimidation by EPS leadership”, which lead to Const. Golysheva relenting under this pressure to “undergo ‘reintegration training’ before being placed back into her full operational position.”.
Wouldn’t this reintegration training mean that she will now do whatever she is told, especially when the EPS Police Chief said they will not tolerate that kind of behavior?

In a recent ruling, Ontario Superior Court Justice Antonio Skarica has exposed what we have all been witnessing; how our justice system routinely applies different rules for foreign offenders while law-abiding Canadians pay the price.
