Ohio State House of Representatives request Canada be added to the Religious Freedoms Special Watch List

What message is Ohio sending to Canada?

Canada alone takes approximately 40% of Ohio’s exports in goods and services every year which equates to about $20 billion dollars. Yet the Ohio House found it necessary to pass a bill to have Canada placed on a watch list with USCIRF (United States Commission on International Religious Freedoms).

Currently there are 29 countries listed in the USCIRF website, countries such as China, Cuba and North Korea. Countries that do not have the basic fundamental freedoms we were born with or guaranteed by a Constitution. Section 2 of our Charter of Rights and Freedoms Canadians are “free to follow the religion of their choice” as well are guaranteed freedom of thought, belief and expression”.

What do the people of Ohio see that Canadians don’t? History has shown when the Government comes after religion and the clergy, the outcome is never favourable for the people. It will only be a matter of time until the Canadian government will be called out again for abuses of our Charter of Rights and Freedoms. The government has started down a slippery slope, one in which they may not gain traction to recover.

Police on Guard will continue to stand for the Charter and the Rights and Freedoms of all Canadians.
