Freedom Convoy Participant Who Had Bank Accounts Frozen Sees Charges Dismissed
Evan Blackman participated in the Ottawa Freedom Convoy in February of 2022. As a result, he was arrested and charged with mischief and obstructing police.
Blackman plead not guilty to all charges and was scheduled for trial October 23, 2023. Due to the lack of evidence supporting the charges, and poor recollections of the officer, all charges were dismissed.

Ontario Court of Appeal Dismisses Vaccine Passport Case Brought Forth by Eight Canadians
A Charter case brought forward last year by the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms, on behalf of a group of eight Ontario residents, was struck down as moot indicating that, since the mandates have ended, there is no longer any value to Canadians in pursuing an outcome.

2 Calgary Men Issued Transit Ticket for Private Conversation That “Interfered With the Comfort/Convenience/Enjoyment” of Others, Sees Charges Dropped
Two Calgary residents, travelling to the 1 Million March for Children protest in September 2023, struck up a conversation with a like-minded individual on the Calgary C-train.
When they went to exit at their stop however, both men were held by transit police, one was handcuffed, and both were served with a notice to appear in court in November by transit authorities.
All charges have subsequently been dropped.
Police on Guard’s 3rd Year Anniversary
These last 3 years has brought many changes to the lives of Canadians. Seeing our governments act in ways that outright ignore the foundations of law, has brought many brave police officers out of their comfort zones to stand for the oaths they swore to uphold. This is how Police On Guard was born.
