“Public Health officials are not the supreme law of the land, the Constitution is.”- Jay Cameron, Litigation Director
Tickets issued for alleged Public Health violations continue to be withdrawn in Alberta because of the unconstitutional nature of these legislations.
Read one of Police on Guard for Thee’s, Alberta members opinion piece on GraceLife church. Pastor Coates is still in jail for refusing to comply with Covid-19 mandates. The Charter of Rights and Freedoms, guarantees the right to freedom of religion, assembly and association. So why are we seeing a Pastor arrested and jailed for the very rights and freedoms guaranteed to him?
Before our first month closes, we have the honour of publishing another piece from active-duty officers, this time from Alberta.
Similar to our letter, they express many concerns with their local Public Health Orders and pose a question to their fellow officers:
Can you stand by while the people’s rights are infringed? Have a read.
Across Canada, the Charter of Rights and Freedoms is the supreme law of the land and must be upheld by all law enforcement.
